Preventive conservation of heritage

We work on complex collections in various states of deterioration.

Our expertise in preventive conservation can be applied to all types of heritage: archives, books, manuscripts, photographs, works of art, maps, and heritage objects.

We work according to the current standards (Ministry of Culture, C2RMF).

Dust removal

As part of our preventive conservation services, we conduct dust removal on all documentary collections and heritage objects, using appropriate techniques for each medium:

  • Paper collections: bound books, iconography, historical collections.
  • Complex iconographic collections: cellulose nitrates, Ektachromes, negatives
  • Objects: heritage, precious

Reconditioning

Our teams recondition archives and objects following preventive conservation standards:

  • Professional formulation: neutral, alkaline reserve, DIN-ISO standards
  • Proper handling: use of gloves, secure storage and handling
  • Collaboration with trusted partners: Schroder, Cauchard, Klug, Stouls, etc.

Condition reports and critical analysis

Our teams are trained to identify signs of deterioration in all types of collections.

We act quickly to protect these assets: condition reports, extraction and dispatch for restoration.
